My Story

I survived a Whipple procedure, one of the most complex surgeries in medicine, and have lived with its aftermath for more than 15 years: exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, enzyme replacement therapy, specialty drug supply problems, insurance fights, and records scattered across multiple hospitals.

Nobody coordinated any of it for me. I learned to do it myself, and then I did it for my own father.

I became an advocate because I know exactly what it feels like to be handed a serious diagnosis, a stack of patient portals, and no one to help make sense of it. I can be the person for you that I needed back then.

Credentials: IHSS certified care provider. California DOJ and FBI Live Scan background cleared. Peer advocate in GI and post-surgical survivor communities.
